Colorful Meetings

Colorful Meetings
Isabella Wiggiddinn Wooly Bear yawns and arches her fluffy reddish brown body in the warm sunshine. “What shall I do today?” she wonders out loud. The answer she gets startles her!
“An adventure!” shouts Grubulah Grasshopper. He perches on the broken clay flower pot in the garden, next to where Isabella Wiggiddinn Wooly Bear, snoozed this morning.
“And, OH! What an adventure it will be! We are all ready except YOU silly Isabella Wiggiddinn Wooly Bear! So wake up! And let’s get going!” Lucy Ladybug is a bit bossy, and never takes no for an answer.
Isabella Wiggiddinn Wooly Bear has forgotten all about the plan for today with her friends from the Garden of Goodies. They are going to meet up with Pauly Pillbug, and Spencer Spider, and also Biddy Butterfly, and go on an adventure.
Grubulah Grasshopper always comes up with the greatest FUN-ventures, as they call them. Not that they need a leader… but all the friends in the Garden of Goodies look up to Grubulah, like a big brother! And so, it is that Grubulah Grasshopper leads the friends on the FUN-ventures.
Spencer Spider stands as tall as he can on one thin leg to look down the garden row to see the trio coming his way. “Pauly, are you as excited about this Fun-venture as I am?” he asks in a high pitched squeakey voice.
“Of course, Spencer. Grubulah, Lucy and I have been on many Fun-ventures together. And I have never been disappointed yet! But each one seems to be better than the last!” Pauly Pillbug rolls in and out and all around Spencer Spider’s long legs like an excited puppy!
Fluttering gracefully above them Biddy Butterfly quietly says, “Have you any guesses where we will go today, boys?”
“Now, Biddy Butterfly, you know we never know where we are going! We just start off, and before you know it, we are FUN-venturing!”
Lucy is right, Biddy Butterfly! So, now that we are all together, shall we go?” Grubulah Grasshopper is smiling and has a twinkle in his eyes, as he heads down the row in the Garden of Goodies, which makes all the friends believe he knows exactly where he is leading them to on today’s journey.
